The project will deliver a new overtaking lane on the Arthur Highway from Forcett towards Sorell, improving safety, reducing delays and providing a smoother journey for road users.

The project will improve visibility at the intersection by reducing the height of the road approach and improving sightlines for vehicles turning into Sugarloaf Road from both directions. These upgrades will improve safety, reduce the risk of crashes and enhance the overall driving experience.

The project also includes the formalisation of a bus stop.

The project will deliver a new shared pathway and an additional pedestrian crossing between Bay Road, Boomer Bay, and Bay Street, Dunalley, improving pedestrian safety and access across the Arthur Highway. The project also includes upgrades to three bus stops.

A dedicated right-turn lane at the Bay Road intersection will improve safety by providing a safer waiting area for turning vehicles, while maintaining traffic flow for road users travelling towards Copping.
