Community consultation on the trial pedestrian crossings and the speed limit reduction is open from Monday 6 July until Wednesday 30 September 2026. All feedback received during the consultation period will be considered before the design is finalised.

We would like to hear about your experience with the trial to inform the final design.

Trial pedestrian crossings

Two trial pedestrian crossings have been installed in Exeter, outside the Police Station and Shakers Takeaway. The six-month trial will help us understand how the crossings are used and how they improve safety. The trial will let the community become familiar with these crossings and allow us to monitor the benefits of the crossing locations.

Trial speed limit reduction

A 40 km/hr speed limit trial is in place on Main Road between Frankford Road and Glen Ard Mohr Road. Community feedback results will help decide if the reduced speed limit should become permanent.
